Hi all, I have just bought a Logitech keyboard/mouse set. The keyboard appears to be working fine. (An MX5000)
The mouse is an MX1000. I am running XP SP2 on an Intel Core 2 Duo, 1Gb RAM, 600Gb h/d. The problem is that the mouse is REALLY slow. If I move the mouse it could be up to 5-6 seconds before it responds on screen. Even then it is erratic movement on screen. It will clear up for a while (about a minute) but then revert back to erratic movement. I have d/l the latest software & drivers and installed them, but it does not make any difference.
Would it be lack of RAM? Or maybe a conflict with something else (although Device Manager does not show any)
Here's a quirk I have just noticed. If I plug in a wired mouse (just an old one I had lying around) the Logitech mouse works fine with no stutters. The old mouse is not being used, apart from being plugged in. In fact, both mice will work quite independanly from each other.
Have you installed the Logitech mouse/keyboard drivers? These are not the Bluetooth mouse software, but the Logitech software that controls the fancy buttons on your keyboard, etc?
I have a Microsoft cordless set (not a Bluetooth one) and it will do the same until I install the software.
Yes, I downloaded the latest Logitech software and have installed it 3 times now. Along with the upgrade patch. Files were setpointpatch32_b8.exe (104 Mb) and setpoint330bt_xp.exe (8Mb)
Are these the files you refer to? It doesn't seem to matter what I do, it just stays very jerky unless I have the old wired mouse plugged in too.
