Hi there, I recently got a new Netcomm NF4V modem for VDSL and am just wondering as to if anyone knows how I can optimize the advanced wifi settings on this modem for better wifi speeds at all?

I've changed the channel from 'auto' which was set as 1 (interference:severe) to a higher number with less interference 13 (interference: acceptable) and this made huge improvements to the wifi speed but am just wondering if there are any other settings on this page I can tweak to optimize my speed.

I heard that by changing the transmit power to a lower setting would also improve this but not sure which option would be the best.

Anyone that has this modem know what settings would be best for wifi performance?

What do you mean by "huge improvements"? What speed are you getting, and what are you expecting?

well nothing to brag about as my line can only go up to 21 so with the channel on 1 it was getting like 4-5 but when changing the channel to a higher number it went up to the 19-20's

Try to use the 5GHz band wherever possible, really depends on what your devices are capable of tho. If you have a lot of congestion, you can try setting the RTS threshold to something like 1024, which basically reduces the number of "collisions" in busy channels.

Time to find a new industry!

19-20 what? If that's Mb/s then that is about as good as you will get on 2.4GHz single chain wifi.
