A POTS line only uses a single pair and blue / blue white pair is the standard to use for voice.
You shouldn't be matching the colours up or it's not going to work - this isn't how it's supposed to be installed.
If you're in a VDSL2 coverage area the best option would have been to move to VDSL2 and let Chorus do all the work for you since you're not paying anything for it.
