Hi there,
Not sure if this is quite the right place for this question but I couldn't see anything that fit perfectly.

I'm looking at having fibre installed and am taking the opportunity to mount a distribution box to the wall where the fibre will come into. This will also be where I will house my network switch, manage telephone lines, audio etc.

I have seen these types of boxes installed in lots of new houses but I can't seem to find anyone that is selling this type of equipment. I am possibly not using the correct terminology in my searches.

Below is an example of what I have seen being used :

Does anyone know where I can purchase such a box and accessories?

Any electrical wholesaler should be able to sell you one.

PBTech stock the Dynamix HWS range.

I would favour the wall mounted cabinets over the recessed panels, Something just big enough to store ample patch panels, switches, routers, etc with active ventilation to ensure decent life for all devices stored inside and a big bonus for me would be if it was big enough to toss in my mid tower media server.

I suppose the recessed ones are good for those with a strict space requirement however I tend to picture them being cramped, difficult to work with and baking everything to death due to lack of decent ventilation.

Also interested in this, I didn't know you could get them from PB tech.

What is the smallest size possible for an ONT, RGW (Router), 16 port patch panel and switch? No co-axial tv cables.

a 28 inch which is 711x362x100 should do dynamix brand there are other brands with same sizing

I like the fact that the Dynamix products are easily purchased from PB Tech. However, the Signet enclosures have so many more mounting points which would make it a lot more flexible.

Does anyone know if the mounting points are at a standard spacing? i.e. could I get a Signet enclosure and purchase Dynamix accessories?

Normally I like to keep brand with brand but it looks like I may have to go through an electrician to purchase the Signet gear. I have however emailed and asked if I can purchase directly from them *crosses fingers*

Of the two cabinets, the Signet one has more holes and is arguably more to standard.

The holes on the Signet do line up with patch panels etc.. that fit a standard 19" server rack mount.

I think that Dynamix intend that you use their patch panels etc...

But, in either case you may want to make your own mountings for some items.
