Hi Folks,

I have recently moved house and now have Orcon UFB, the problem being as I have many family members using multiple devices I wanted to replace my supplied router with a Linksys AC1900 so I can primarily have a 5GHZ option, I do not use the voice/calling on Orcon having the naked packaged. Unfortunately I cannot get this to connect to the internet, does any body know I can do this?

Plug router into port 1 on the ONT. Set vlan on wan port to 10. Set router to connect via dhcp.

Hopefully your router supports vlans on the wan.

Thanks for the feedback. I updated my router to a D-Link Viper which supports vlan tagging. However when I put all the correct settings in the router appears connected but still does not broadcast beyond the router. The only work around I have at the moment is connecting my new D Link into the netcomm which shows how significant the improvement is more than double the speed and range. But I would really just like to use the D-Link without the need of the netcomm should anyone know a way.

Instructions are dead simple and listed above. Lots of hardware doesn't support VLAN10 tagging though.

The D-Link Viper supports vlan tagging, have followed the instructions, router connects but does not broadcast further. Are you using a different router on Orcon? The only way I have found to make it work is connected to Orcon router.
