This morning ASUS has released a firmware update that gives the DSL variant of the AC68U a WAN port and VLAN tagging support, Meaning that it will now support NZ ISP Fibre.

For those who have the DSL AC68U, you can now use it the same way as the RT model and have it running if you directly plug it into the ONT without having to bridge to your current modem.

The firmware update can be downloaded online on the ASUS website.

Does the DSL-N66U now support VLAN tagging? I've been looking all over the web and I get conflicting information. I've just had Slingshot UFB connected and I can't use my DSL-N66. It is set for VLAN 10 but nothing...

Sorry but f this has been asked and answered but as I said I can't find anything definitive.

Thanks for that. Mine is on version 1.0.9.7 firmware and I am with Slingshot UFB as of yesterday. Is this version of firmware capable of VLAN tagging?

My N66U shows a VLAN ID of 10 in the WAN screen, but it still will not connect to Slingshot. I recall seeing somewhere that it needs to be changed in the LAN screen under the IPTV setting. Is this correct?

Any assistance appreciated - would hate to have to buy a new one as this cost me $390 and the missus will be a wee bit upset. Again.

Thanks.
