I'm an undergrad. research assistant working with robotics. The robots that we use to implement the algorithms that we're developing use Bluetooth.
Recently, we purchased 7 new robots to go along with the 3 we already had, thus bringing us to, you guessed it, 10 bots total. The problem is that, after setting up 8 COM/serial ports, the computer would no longer allow me to set up any more virtual serial ports.
This doesn't bode well for us. We need 10 ports to allow for simultaneous communication between the main computer and each of the bots.
So, I was wondering: is there any way to bypass this problem? Is there a Bluetooth hub that we can purchase to allow us to utilize more COM ports at once? I've searched the internet and there just doesn't seem to be a large concern for this issue out there.
