Hi, I was wondering if I can connect a second HG659b router to the main HG659b router on Wifi and use it for boosting my Wifi signal. It is impractical in my setup to connect the two routers using a cable. I am on the Spark UFB network. Thanks.

See if you can connect them using a powerline system? - see the section here The Geekzone Guide to Extending your Wifi Coverage

Thanks for your help. I finally used a spare Linksys router and used the instructions here to successfully setup a wifi repeater: https://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Repeater_Bridge

Hi NKNZ

Good to hear you got it working

I thought that I would just add that using Wifi Repeaters do 1/2 your throughput on the wifi due to the way wifi works.

So if your finding the wifi slow, it would be due to this. The best way to do it without loosing speed would be to run a cable but as you have stated that is impractical, the next best option would be to use powerline as suggested by jonb
