I have used the modem wth Wireless Nation, but now I have change to Vodafone.
As the unit shows a red light, I believe I have to change the settings for the modem.

Please can someone help.

Thanks,

HK

You should not need to change any settings just put the VodafoneNZ SIM card into the B315 the only issue that could happen is Wireless Nation SIM lock the B315

Thanks for your reply.

As I have paid for the router, I assume that it is not lock.

How can I find out if unlocked or not?

Just cause you paid for the router does not mean it's not SIM locked

Did you purchase the B315 off Wireless Nation?

Check with Wireless Nation if the unit is SIM locked and the VodafoneNZ SIM I am sure is TAC locked so the SIM will only work in units provided by VodafoneNZ

Test the SIM from VodafoneNZ in a mobile phone and see if it works!

I'm fairly certain the router itself doesn't support being simlocked.
You probably just need to change the APN to the correct values and it should be fine.
I would however see if you can get the firmware from Vodafone as I suspect each flash has a different radio bandplan setup based on how it's going to be used. I know that's what we did for Spark and Skinny as they are the same router but with different radio settings.

Please confirm you have recieved a new SIM from Vodafone?
Usually they will actually provide the modem, unusual for them to provide SIM only connection for RBI.

I have checked with Wireless Nation and the modem is unlocked.

Also the Vodafone SIM is new and unlocked.

I guess I have to change the configuration of the modem. Any idea....

Thanks

When you log into the b315 is the branding  Huawei or Vodafone ?

If it is VF then should work. Where is the sim from ? out of a mobile phone ?

A Vodafone shop in Christchurch sold me a new SIM. They took the SIM out of a new package.

Factory reset the B315 if you haven't already. It should work in default with Vodafone SIM and no config change.
