Hey guys,
I am trying to setup for a colleague a VDLS connection running into a Spark Modem then into a Grandstream GWN7000 Router (an access point is connected into the Grandstream router). I have followed the below guides from both Grandstream and the Spark support page but I do not appear to be able to get a connection to the internet.
Bridge on HG659B
- Login to your the HG659/HG659b interface.
- Click Internet from the top menu
- Click Internet Settings from the left menu
- Locate and select your connection type
- VDSL connection: INTERNET_TR069_VDSL_VID_10
- Fibre connection: INTERNET_TR069_ETH_VID_10
- Click Edit
- Change the following settings:
- Service type: Tick only INTERNET (ensure both TR069 and Voice are unticked)
- Connection type: Bridged
- Click Save
- Click OK at the warning message
On the Grandstream Router I then do the following:
- Connect the cable between the LAN port of the HG659/HG659b and the WAN port of the third party router
- Configure your third party modem setting by completing the following steps:
- Configure the WAN connection settings on your 3rd party router:
Note: if you require help with this part please refer to your router's vendor for support.- PPPOE username: user@xtrabb.co.nz
- Password: password
- Turn off VLAN and 802.1P
- The HG659/HG659b uses the IP address range 192.168.1.x/24 by default.
To avoid conflict, to another IP address range. i.e. 192.168.3.x/24
- Configure the WAN connection settings on your 3rd party router:
From here I do not get a connection to the internet. Am I missing a step here?
If you could please assist it would be much appreciated.
Thanks heaps !
