I'm obviously not an expert... I'm trying to connect my Viewsonic 35 PPC with my Motorola V400 cell phone so I can browse the internet & use Hotmail with the Viewsonic. I've purchased a cable that connects the 2 but it isn't very reliable & is cumbersome. If I bought an SDIO Wi Fi card for the Viewsonic, can I 'point' my Motorola at the Viewsonic & connect or does WiFI only mean for wireless hot spots? Sorry I don't understand the technology better.
Thank you.

The Motorola V400 does not have wireless LAN capabilities. Actually no phone in the market has it, except for some high-end smartphones, but even so it's used to connect to hot spots, not to let other devices connect to it.

The cable is the way to on this model. Some other models have Bluetooth, which is a cable replacement technology, but again, you need this in both your mobile phone and Pocket PC. I'm afraid you have to live with the cable for now.
