Hi All

I'm hoping for a cunning suggestion to sort an issue I have.

I'm in the process of building a pub out in the back paddock and I'm keen to get a TV in there.

My issue is that we're a bit rural and I only have a copper cable VDSL to the house.

The pub is about 30m from the house.

I'm wondering if there's a magical option to get my wifi over there and run a smart T.V.

We're currently with Vodafone.

Has anyone got a scenario like this with a tidy solution??

How hard would it be to trench a conduit and pull through a few cat6 cables?

I was hoping there was an easier solution with a wireless bridge (or something similar)

As suggested a cable or fibre is best solution, failing that a 60ad p2p will also do it.

wont you have to run power to it? if so just throw some conduit in with the power.

but there are wifi bridge options too

I would definitely string a cable... I wouldn't rely on WiFi for this unless you get someone with good knowledge to deploy the solution. It is not something your electrician can do.

The pub is next to the well, so power and water came from there.

I've already had the trenching guys in to do this and they smashed through the 3" irrigation line and the water supply to the house.

This was after I forked out $1000 for the guy to pitch up with the scanner and mark where everything was.

Which is why I'm not keen to do any more digging.

Hi, he is going to come back with $379+gst and instock, where do you want it sent.

I have installed over a dozen of these links at work, and they work very very well, all you need is a clear space (ie no tree branches) and they are good to go. Being 60GHz they dont interfere with normal WiFi and they are very very low latency and give near on GigE throughput.
