So I moved to Orcon from Vodafone. And now have a fancy new orcon gigaset sx763 WLAN home hub. Which has so far been quite a pain in the bracket to use. I have set up encryption and all my devices:xbox360, PC and apple macbook now connect to the internet (YEAH!).

Except they can't see each other I can't ping the xbox360 from my PC and my xbox360 can't connect to PC (BOO!).

So I ring the help desk they forward me to the Siemens help desk who first ofall told me my receptions to crap and they'd

call me back. They never did. So I call again 2nite to be told, after trying port forwarding configuration on the router,

that I can't be helped they were out of ideas. Has anyone set this up????? Give me any clues as to what could be wrong.

It is extremely annoying. I have turned off mac filtering andadded both IP adress of PC and Xbox360 (not sure which ports.)

And it almost looks like it works and sometimes I can manage to ping from the PC but it never really seems to connect.

Any ideas????

Are you using dhcp? If so is the router broadcasting its own address as a DNS server or just orcons DNS servers?

Thanks for your reply. Yes it is using DHCP. Its using its own DNS the IP address of the router.

No check that it is not on.

However do you have any wireless connections?  If not then turn off mac filtering.

And yes if using wireless you will need to add all mac addresses inc xbox

yep been to this page and done everything on it. It doesn't talk about Advanced options > Internet > Nat > Port fowarding.Which is where I got told to add xbox 360 and other devices from Siemens help desk. (Unless Im blind.) Im not sure whichport xbox 360 listens on or what I should be doing here
