I wasn't really sure if this was the right place to put this but im sure it will be moved if not.

Im having troubles with one of the phone jacks in my house. It will only work when i use a cord which only has the 2 wires in it (Green & Red) As soon as i plug the cable with 4 wires it won't work. (I have opened the Jack up and it only has 2 wires running into it)

Is there anyway to solve this problem? I really want to run a double adapter through it but all the ones i find have 4 wires and they won't work.

I've checked all the other phone jacks in the house and they have 2 wires coming in also. Except one which i presume is the master it has 4 wires?

Can someone point me in the right direction here?

Maybe you could tell us exactly what type of phones/devices you are connecting.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

Im just trying to use a Panasonic cordless phone (KX-TG1811NZ) And a Belkin ADSL2+ Modem. Both devices work fine when plugged in individually using a cable which only has 2 wires in it, but i want to plug both the phone and modem in to the jack.

I ran the phone though a Filter which only has a Phone Plug and the phone worked fine. Then i run the phone through a filter which has a Phone & ADSL plug and the phone wont work
