Hi I am trying to set up my MS outlook to use the built in dialup function.. but so far i have had no luck......or that is i can use it if I download and install the DialItNow! plugin. I am sure there must be some solution on how to get my BT modem (Widcomm) to forward my calls to the mobile as voice calls and not as data calls which it does today. So in short :

  • I have a connection over BT to my mobile
I can place calls over the modem (Widcomm)
Call is transfered to the reciever correctly
BUT..... the call is always data calls.. and now it's going on my nerves

Maybe i have got this all wrong cause what is really needed is just that the PC transfers the numbers and dials it on my mobile. I just can't see any other solution on how to transfer it.
It works fine as long as i use either DialItNow! or floaT's....

So any of you got any clues on how to solve it? Are there any initialization Strings for the Widcomm Modem i can use ( when doing a query on the modem it reports that it does not support teh AT#CLS=? command)

ANy help appreciated

Welcome here... Don't be so angry, it looks like that DialItNow! plugin is the answer for your question.

If you want to try something else, I wouldn't try using the Bluetooth Modem, this is always for data. Instead I would open a Serial connection to the phone and use it to send down the dial commands.

You can open My Bluetooth places, find the icon corresponding to your mobile phone and double-click it. You will see the services offered, and it should include the Serial Port. double-click this one and it will connect and show a mssage with the COM port used.

You can disconnect now if you want.

From now on, everytime a program opens this COM port the connection should be established automatically - unless the phone is off or Bluetooth is disabled.

Now you just ned a software that uses this COM port to send the dial commands to the phone...
