Hi there fist time mailer
I need some help
I have an IPAQ 2750 and a Sony Ericsson V800 phone I can connect to the internet with the Irda connection but I cannot get the BT to work?

You have to follow this guide. Things to consider:

  • Make sure you have a GPRS plan on your account
  • The number to dial is *99# (default) but depending on your mobile phone configuration it may be that you have to use *99***x#, where x is 1, 2, 3... These are the GPRS configurations on your mobile phone
  • Most newer Sony Ericsson and Motorola require a reset string. On your Pocket PC, in the Advanced section on the Connection configuration (Start | Settings | Connections | [Connections] | Advanced | [Select Networks]) you have space for a initialisation string. If there's nothing there try Z; alone. If there's something you can add Z; to the start of the string.
  • If your mobile does not have the correct configuration you may need to enter the APN name on the initialisation string. Something like Z;+CGDCONT=1,,"[APN]" where [APN] is the APN (Access Point Name) used by your operator.
  • You might have to enter a user/password, also depending on operator. Some require, some not.
