HI,

I have been trying to install my bluetooth headset over widcomm for sometime now and i think i really need some help.

I'll start from the beginning!

I am using Windows Server 2003, Patched Widcomm 1.4.2.10.

All installs fine currently the driver I am using for my headset is the Mobidick USB Bluetooth Adapter BCU3x Provider: WIDCOMM, Inc, File Version 1.4.2.8

My dongle is the belkin F8T001. I have tried the drivers that came with the belkin CD and i get the same situation...

My headset is the Motorola HS820.

This is the problem I am having. I can detect the headset with no problem. It pairs with no problem. However, when I attempt to make a connection it says headset connected and I get a repeating high/low beep in my ear.

I have tried to click the Multifunction Button Once as if to answer a call. At this point I get a short beep and the high/low sound stops. The headset remains connected according to My Bluetooth Places.

I go into Sound and Audio Properties and I have the Bluetooth Audio device set as default. I get no sound however. Not from the headset or as input from the headset's microphone.

I am not sure what to. This is the exact same situation I had when I attempted to use BlueSoleil.

Can someone please please help me!!!!

Thanks,

slevytam

Note: if I press short press the MFB again I disconnects successfully from the computer.

Welcome to Geekzone. Not all hardware support the Bluetooth audio. This was quite common with the first series of Belkin adapters and I wonder if this is the case with the current crop of cheap Bluetooth adapters.

Also, any reason why you have a patched Widcomm driver, instead of using the original ones?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply!

In response to your question, I have patched the widcomm since the widcomm version that came with my dongle does not support windows server 2003, whereas 1.4.2 does

Thanks,

slevytam
