I receive internet access from Wild Blue satellite service.  I would like to identify my local IP address.  When I use the standard steps I seem only to get their main server IP address.

Local ip address go - Start - Run - CMD - ipconfig and that will tell you your local ip


External ip go to www.ipchicken.com in your web browser

i prefer www.whatismyip.com
What is my ip is easier to remember, although i did just notice today that they have popups that firefox and ie7 prevented automatically.

http://www.ip-adress.com/ip_tracer/ is another good one and with no popups
