Hi,

I have a no-name BT USB adapter, recognized as CSR, with widcomm driver version 1.4.2.8. It works fine, and I try to connect the PC with a Nokia BT headset (HDW-3). I have installed the registry settings that came with the cd in order to have the headset profile, so now I have the voice gateway service installed. But when I try to start the service, I get the following error: Local service failed-error code: The operration could not be completed error code: 0x81000015.

I have succesfuly paired the headset, but when I try to connect I get the same error as above.

Anyone can help?

Thank you in advance

Bogdan

Hi again,

I have upgraded finally to widcomm 1.4.2 !!
My dongle is made by SUNIX, model UBT1000, and it worked only with their drivers. I spent a lot of time guessing the manufacturer, as it was not branded... (the site is: http://www.sunix.com.tw ).

Now, the audio gateway and headset services are up and running...
But not so smoothly, it appears.... Because when I try to make a connection to my headset, it seems that it does not have the "headset service"...

I am one step closer to my goal. Help would be much appreciated. Should I do a firmware upgrade? I have revision 526 on my dongle, having VID0A12 and PID 0001

Thanks.

Bogdan

After you pair the headset you have to double-click its icon to establish a connection. You'll then hear a beep on the headset. Have you pressed the Answer button when this beep comes out? This will "answer" the connection.

Hi,

You are right... but when I pressed the answer button on the headset, it paired with the phone, which had its bluetooth on and paired with it first! Silly me...

Now it works perfectly fine as headset with Skype and Google Talk!

Thanks a lot for the support!

Bogdan
