Hi All
I have recently purchased a DSE Wireless Router from DickSmith (obvisouly).
The question I have is: can it be set up to work on more than one PC. I have it connected to my desktop at home and use my laptop on wireless which works great (godsend I tell ya) but I am housesitting for 6 weeks in May and want to know if I can take it there. It will be connected to a desktop and it uses the same ISP I do.
Do I just go on the site I used to set it up and change the ISP Address?

Yes, simply change IP address on WAN interface, asumes connection via TCL cable modem.

We connect via ethernet connection to our modem given to us by telstra. Sorry if that was what u meant. Thanks

Is the router also the DSL modem? If it isn't, then YES, you can take it to the other house. You'll need to configure it to fit into whatever network they may have.

we have seperate router, yeah just wanted to know that I can set it up with their IP addy and it will work!! Will it also mess up any settings they may have??

Any router they have needs to be disconnected so any settings are irrelevant.

They only have modem no router so it wont mess up there internet settings when I configure my router to their network and take it off??

Hi, you just need to know what their IP address is, and the gateway to match. This will be in their PCs TCP/IP config in the control panel (and would have been supplied to them by TCL when the modem was supplied).

Once you have their IP address then you can put that address (and gateway) into the WAN port settings on your router and you will be away. Dont forget to note your WAN address and gateway so you can restore it when you return home.

The gateway is always the same address subnet but always .1

Just read your first post again, and realised that the site you are talking about is presumably the web based admin in the DSE router, if so then yes thats correct doing as I mentioned in my post above.
