Hi,
I have a desktop with a Mavintec PenBlue Bluetooth adaptor on it and a modem that is connected to the telephone line. I setup the WIDCOMM software to allow Dial Up Networking on this computer.

I have another Mavintec PenBlue Bluetooh adaptor on my laptop which I used to pair with the Desktop for the Dialiup Networking service. However, after the Bluetooth icons turn green, when I use the local dialling software on the laptop and select the Bluetooth modem that is shown, I always get an error "the modem on the device you are connecting to may be out of order....".

On the desktop in the Control Panel - Phone and Modem setting sapplet, when I select the Bluetooth modem and select properties, it shows the device (I think the physical model) correctly to the Lucent WinModem on the desktop. However, when I do a diagnostic on it (via the diagnosti page-Query modem), I get an error that the modem is not responding and I must turn it on or something to that effect.

Can anybody help please? I want to dial out from my Laptop but use the modem on the desktop.

Thanks very much,
Sreenath
