Hi I have a wireless network setup at home and the router is all working etc in the bedroom. Now I have bought a SIP phone that uses a RJ-whatever type network plug. I want to have the phone in the lougeroom and dont want to run a cable. What is the most inexpesive type of equipment that I can get to pick up the wireless sugnal and relay thru a short cable to the phone (or better just plug the phone into it.

Is this called bridging or???

You could buy a higher gain/higher Decibel antenna, or bridge 2 wireless routers together.

Bridge two wireless routers, and one in the lounge should have Ethernet plugs so you can plug your phone. Most wireless routers these days come with 4 Ethernert ports.

do all routers support bridging or does someone have reccomendation for something cheap that'll work.

I looked it up on Linksys' website and it seems like it will work with any VOIP phone with an RJ-45 Ethernet port.

hmmm that looks perfect, I wonder if I bought a power adapter if I could get it to work with my netcomm phone? Might be almost same price to get a cheap router?
