Can anyone tell me how to do a complete unistall of the Microsoft Bluetooth mouse software and drivers? Is there some editing that must be done to the Registry?
I am trying to completely get rid of any trace of the original MS Bluetooth mouse software and drivers so that I can successfully install and use a new AmbiCom bluetooth dongle. I made the mistake of installing the MS Bluetooth mouse first, a while ago, and found out the hard way that it did not support any other bluetooth devices. So I bought a Belkin dongle, (which I never did get working). It appeared as though the MS Mouse drivers would somehow be getting in the way, even though I had uninstalled the mouse.
Out of frustration and blind hope, I bought the Ambicom dongle and tried it. Low and behold this one actually works. I can connect my Delorme GPS, my iPAQ 5555 and it actually even works with the MS Bluetooth Mouse. The problem is that when I try to go to Advanced Configuration in My Bluetooth Places, nothing happens, which seems to me is another leftover artifact of not being able to completely remove the original MS Mouse software, drivers, and registry entries.
