When I check for a firmwre update the following pops up:

Update Available
An updated version of firmware is available for your Access Point

Model:
F5D7230-4 54g Wireless Router

Firmware Version Information:
Belkin Wireless Router Version : 6.00.03
Release Date : 02/28/2005
Image location :http://networking.belkin.com/update/files/usa/v3/F5D7230_6.00.03.rar

If you wish to update the firmware in your Access Point, click 'Download NOW' below to get the file. Save the file to a folder on your computer where you can find it later. Browse to the file from the 'Firmware Update' page. Select the file, then click 'Update'.

Download Firmware NOW

On the previous page it says I have "Firmware Version 6.00.14". So according to the firmware version, I have a later firmware so why is it telling me to update? When I try and install the downloaded firmware, it says I already have the latest version.

If I turn on "auto-update firmware" I keep on getting the update page (above) and can't get past it.

Interesting... My router is the same model, and I am running firmware version 4.03.03 and it doesn't tell me there's an update available. I am not looking for one either - I only recommend an update if there's a problem that you know it's fixed, or a vast improvement in speed.

Yep "Don't fix it if it's not broken". I've learnt that the hard way... several times :P

I have just bought mine and have observed exactly the same problem. Have you just bought yours? . I always like to start with all updates installed so will be interested in what you find out. Cheers, George
