Hey there, have got two samsung phones (one telecom one vodafone, don't ask - its all about contacting the kids) anyways, they both have blue tooth and can see each other, but when I try and transfer pics from the vodafone to the telecom one it says sending failed - can these two networks not talk to each other via bluetooth??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its not a network thing, its a bluetooth capability issue id say.

What models are they (particularly the telecom one)

Tony is correct. Bluetooth is a feature on your phones, and network independent. You will see that different manufacturer implement different things that you can do with Bluetooth. When they have the same "profiles" they talk well to each other.

same profile? not sure I follow
the Telecom is a Samsung A920 and the Vodafone is zv10 -

thanks for all the help, have since found out that my telecom phone (the bluetooth) is only good for headset not for file transfer, would have been nice if they had of told me that before I bought the phone. However, he did sell me a SD card reader so I can transfer files - nice to see they still manage to extract money outta me lol

Telecom's phones suck.

For their price they have the least features. In fact many of the features found on Telecom's mid range phones can be found on Vodafone's bottom end phones.

I'm surprised you managed to even get a Telecom phone with Bluetooth. ;)

Of course traditionally Telecom phones have never been able to connect to Vodafone phones (Bluetooth previously non-existant on Telecom phones and IR wouldn't connect), even sending a PXT to Vodafone wouldn't work.

This is not helpful at all....

For the record there are now plenty of Telecom phones with bluetooth.. As for IR my 6255 could always connect to other phones including VF ones, my 6265 does the same thing. Both of them have bluetooth.

As for PXT that had nothing to do with the phones, it was a network issue that the two companies had to sort out and make interconnection agreements etc etc.
