I'm hoping someone out there somewhere can help.

I have a logitech diNovo keyboard and mouse running off a wirless bluetooth hub (All working fine).

I've now got a Blue ant x5 headset that I'm trying to connect.

I can connect and pair everthing fine but the sound comming through the headset is all jumpy.

I've updated the setpoint software that came with the hub and updated the firmware for the headset.

the hub is using WIDCOMM diver version 1.4.3.4.

Any help would be much appriciated

Bluetooth headsets don't work well all the time with a PC. It would be a different story if this pair of Bluetooth stereo headsets were paired with a compatible device on your PC though. AFAIK Widcomm 1.4 does not support A2DP for stereo Bluetooth, unless the version Logitech is different from the ones I tried.

In my experience all Bluetooth headsets have problems when the CPU usage on a PC goes over a certain point.

I got this pair of Wireless Headphones sent over from the US earlier this year:

http://labsoft.stores.yahoo.net/wistw.html

They were the only ones I could find that included a microphone which is cool because I can talk on Skype or listen to music without being tied to my PC.  In fact they will work for a considerable distance outside around the house (30 or 40 metres if I remember correctly).

I would not say that the audio quality is quite as good as wired headphones (there is a bit of background noise), but nothing too objectionable and it sounds like they are far superior to a bluetooth headset from what Mauricio has said.

Cheers,
Grant.

thanks for the replys.

I don't think my problem is with the cpu usage as the problems with the sound is constant no matter what the usage.
Any idear on where i can get and wich drivers i should use that are A2DP compatable.

just got one more question if anyones still looking at this post,

I found that the headset works fine when I disconnect the keyboard, mouse and media pad. Is it possible that i could keep the keyboard etc running from the logitech hub and run the headset from a separate bluetooth dongle

No, you can only have one Bluetooth stack active on your PC...

It sounds like you have too many high-bandwidth devices working through the one Bluetooth connection.  Remember that Bluetooth only has a data rate of 1Mbps (I think...  Mauricio, correct me if I'm wrong).

Anyway, whatever the exact figure for bandwidth is, it may not be enough to support all those devices simultaneously.

There is also another possibility:

What about the power supply for your headphones?
Is this also drawn from the hub?

If so, it is possible that you are exceeding the sourcing capability of the hub.

think this is what you mean the headset is powered by its own onboard battery.

I believe it is a problem with Bandwidth. Guess I'll have to find a different solution but as they sasy where there's a will there's a way.
thanks for the help
