I don't know if this is possible but i would like to give it a go. I have just bought a Buffalo Wzr-hp-g300nh WiFi access point/router and was wondering if i can run multiple PPPoE connections. I live in a hall of residence and we all have to jack into our wall and then connect through PPPoE connection. I want to be able to have a floor Wifi hot spot where people can be able to connect using their own username and password ie. the handshake between the isp and computer are done at the PC and not the router. I know that it is possible to have all the devices using the one PPPoE connection by having the router login but I would like everybody to use their own connection so that you pay for only your own data. Any help would be much appreciated.

Plug in an AP in bridge mode.

Ummm, make sure the AP you plug in does not present only one MAC to the upstream most demestic devices will do this, you need an AP that will provide full layer2 bridging. Otherwise you will only be able to establish one PPPoE session to whatever MAC is presented to the upstream ISP by the AP/router

Thanks I have managed to get it going for myself but it's logging on in the router so is there a way of logging others onto their connection through wifi and putting in their credentials so that they can use their own PPPoE connection?

Hi, no I dont think you can push PPPoE connections through a PPPoE connection, hence my recommendation that you use simply a pure L2 bridging AP.

All you have done is created a single PPPoE connection to the ISP with the router just as you single PC does.

You need to go out and buy an AP that offers full layer 2 bridge mode and configure it just as an AP. Your current hardware is probably of absolutely no use unless you can function as an AP with DHCP disabled and offers full layer 2 MAC address passthru.

Hi, the UBNT will only support full transparent bridging in WDS mode, so you must select that. Obviously if you have on end of that link currently performing a PPPoE then there is no way other downstream connections can establish a PPPoE session also, but I dont think you were implying that setup, just checking.
