Hi everyone,

I've just spent an hour of my life Googling this TV model and similar sounding issues with other manufacturers (Namely Samsung) but I'm non the wiser as to what's up with my telly (Apart from that it doesn't work properly!)

It was working fine and had been for over a year and then a few days ago, I switched it off at the mains without first switching off the unit - as I have done many, many times without issue) - and the next time I turned it on; Sound, but a blank screen.

The buttons on the side of the unit, don't so anything - as in - I don't see any menus or other screens. The remote has brand-new batteries and all it does is turn the TV on and off, no other remote-functions have any effect and the IR receiver doesn't change colour of flicker as it should do when pressing any buttons on the remote other than on/off.

If I turn it off at the wall and back on again, or just turn it on-off via the remote, I see what I think is the screen-saver for the TV which says "Store/Dynamic Mode" for about 5s. Once that goes away, the screen remains blank and the sound comes on.

I have read that you should see if the screen shows a glow around the edge with the lights off in the room - answer, yes there is a glow. Shining a torch close to it, or around to see if there is a faint picture to go with the sound = no, no such result.

My next step is to pull the back off the unit and check for obvious melted or domed caps, but if there's nothing so obvious, I'm stuck.

Does anyone have any idea what else I might try? I'm all out of ideas!
