Hi. I am  a qualified electrician and have installed a few security systems in the past, I am not a security technician.
I am currently in the process of installing a Bosch ICP -CC488 alarm system for my sister who bought it off of Trade Me and was told it was a DIY alarm system. It comes with very basic and vague installation instructions obviously aimed towards an experienced security technician. This is definitely not a DIY system.
I was wondering if anyone would have a basic easy to understand installation manual for this     system ?

Hi morpheous, I am a representative from Bosch Security Systems, and your recent question has been brought to our attention. Firstly, we are sorry to hear that you have experienced difficulties with the accompanying instructions. To help support your issue, please refer to our Installation & Quick Reference Guides for the ICP – CC488 panel below; hopefully you will find that these guides are written in a more efficient manner:

Installation Guide (PDF): http://resource.boschsecurity.com/documents/Installation_Guide_enUS_2501418507.pdf
Please refer to page 9 - ‘Quick Start’.

Quick Installation Guide (PDF): http://resource.boschsecurity.com/documents/Quick_Installation_Guide_enUS_2501424395.pdf
Please refer to pages 6-7 - ‘Programming, Programming Using A Codepad & Installer’s Programming Commands’.

Alternatively, If you find that you are still struggling, please refer to our Bosch agent for Security in New Zealand (Connect Security) who should be able to advise on an installer based within your area. Please see details below:
