Have used iTunes for over 3 years with no problems
While I have been overseasn for 1.5yrs I didn't update my iTunes at all which may have not been the best idea but however...
so last week I decided to do an update, which I did, and now it says that QuickTime has an error (Quicktime failed to initialize. Error #2095. Please make sure QT is installed on this computer)
So have done everything I can think of, I did a system restore, which results in the same message
have uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled using CD... same message
uninstalled both iTunes and Quicktime and reinstalled using CD... same message
uninstalled QT and reinstalled via downloads.com and same message!!
any ideas at all on how I can fix this problem?
I cant live without my iPod!!!

A look on Google says it is a permissions problem on the registry - follow this link and the link within too.

Also, there is completely no need for the install CD any more. By downloading iTunes straight from apple.com/itunes it can completely handle the iPod (like the firmware) straight from iTunes.

I usually don't use Apple Software Update and just download the installer package. Just takes hassles out of the [Apple] updates.
