Hey Guys,

I'm trying to find someone who is able to make a digital countdown timer? All it needs to do is be able to set a time preferable in minutes and/or seconds and countdown but the key bit is that once it hits zero it sounds a buzzer that doesn't stop until you push a button again. All the ones on the market here and on Aliexpress etc all stop at 30 or 60 seconds. Preferably AA or 9V powered etc.

So can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm even happy to have a crack at putting one together if there is a kit but it would be awesome if someone knew someone who could do it. Ultimately I'd need a few made and happy to pay accordingly.

Just about any smart phone will do exactly what you are explaining.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

Thanks guys. That is an option that I've considered... and may have to go with. They are to go onto bakers ovens in a commercial environment and I need something durable, and not needing constant charging etc as we'll need at least four. Hence the appeal of a timer with a batteries. I also want the timer to display the whole time, not have to fuss around with lock screens etc... but it is an option I may need to go with.

Try a $2 shop, thats where i got one for the kitchen, sits on the fridge with a magnet.

Pretty sure almost countdown timers alarms,will stop after a period of time. I used to have this one which was good, but I think the alarm also eventually stopped after a period of time. Thanks guys for all the suggestions. I've tried or sampled all the ones above, Big Time, Salter etc etc. Unfortunately I can only find one on the market that JayCar used to sell that beeps until you press a button. JayCar have discontinued stocking this one :( All the rest stop after 30 or 60 seconds and as we use them commercially that could be an oven full of pies burnt if someone was in the chiller and didn't hear the timer go off = big $$.

I'll look into the timer kit at JayCar and have also asked a question on the auction of the other kit suggested. If anyone can build one let me know :)
