About a month ago I noticed my ipod had a little shake to it, it was still working perfectly so I just gathered it was a loose screw or something, then today it was running out of battery, only had a slither of red left (my ipod is constantly on from 8am - 5:30 am so its always running low) and they I 'gently' droped it, by gently I mean it wasnt a hard knock or anything like that.. just kinda slide off my leg and onto the carpet..
Ipod didnt turn on again so I just figured it ran out of battery.. so pluged it into a PC to recharge it but nothing appeared on the screen, tried to do the reset by holding centre button and play to no avail.
So I decided to open it up to see what the rattle was (I gathered this may have been the cause) and I noticed it was a component - I'm having a bit of trouble trying to figure out what this component is and how I can fix this!
It is a little black box type thing with a copper coil in the middle, on the top it reads 'KK' (there are also 2 of these in the iPod, located on each side of the usb port) - a workmate has a broken iPod of the same model so I opened that to check it out and his ones read 'KJ'
It looks like it has been glued there or somthing, it has 2 little metal prongs at the bottom that look like they connect to the corresponding metal prongs in the iPod. This is the logical thing to do aswell obviosuly but was wondering if anybody could shed a bit more light on the situation?
This is a 5th Gen 40gig aswell
Thanks in advance homies

heres a photo of where the broken one is from..
