Does anyone have any experience with ispyconnect and cameras you can get in NZ from pbtech or other retailers?
Really depends on your intended usage. I've tried iSpy and found it pretty flakey but then again I've also tried every other piece of software I could find online and there are very few that are good - again depends on what you want to achieve.
Lots of cameras on the market. Not all of them are IP with more of the latest ones opting for cloud based access. If you're not bothered about fiddling or needing finer grained access then the cloud based ones are good.
Blue Iris is not too bad. I think there is a free 2 camera version and a 64 cam version for US$70.
I've used it for a few years and it works well. Tried Ispy and found it gave way to many false alarms.
mezla1058: What camera did you get to use with Blue Iris?
Blue Iris is pretty good. Takes a bit to setup but you can effectively use any IP camera or camera that supports ONVIF on Blue Iris.
I use mostly 1080p 2-3mp from Aliexpress. Easier to set up if they are ONVIF. I run 6 cams with motion capture.
Using these https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Kingcam-Security-POE-IP-Camera-Metal-Network-Camera-Surveillance-1080P-Night-Vision-CCTV-Waterproof-outdoor-2MP/32828341250.html?spm=2114.13010708.0.0.3a994c4dOq5u6P
POE 2.8mm nice wide angle.
The PC has been running non stop for over a year.
