Many of my mates want to do Home Automation but as there are so many devices that only talk to set controllers etc, they are worried about starting and after spending hundreds of dollars, getting locked in the wrong path.

So they are waiting for ME to finish my Home Automation system and copy it :) (and not repeat the mistake I make)

But I was wondering if anyone know of any Wellington base Home Automation support groups or clubs.

You can only find out so much on google, and would be cool, to see or hear about what other people are doing with their own Home Automation.

I have gone down the Hubitat Elevation path for the controller and its working fine with the Z-wave (curtains) and zigbee (lights) controllers I am using so far, but there is so much more you can do with Home Automation and looking for ideas etc.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of any groups\clubs?
