As some of you may know I lost my kindle.  It turns out it was put on the boot of my car and came off down the road.  Luckily it was found and handed in to Manukau Police Station amazingly.

Anyways....today is the first time I have tired to download a book since.

Seems wireless is not working.I have tried restarting, then tried resetting back to factory settings.  No luck.  Thankfully I have the leather cover on the Kindle or it woulda been roadkill.  There is only a little bit of scuffing on the bottom right corner.

Ive been doing a lot of googling  and found that pushing 311 brings up network connection options, and 611 brings up modem information.

Under the modem information it says HSDPA status: inactive

Any ideas anyone?

Woohoo, I rung Amazon and it turns out that when I notified them my Kindle had been found they didn't take it off the "deactivate" list.

Deactivation disables the wireless and also deregisters the Kindle. So even tho I re-registered the Kindle online it still needed to be reactivated.

Just took a phonecall to US and viola :)
