Hey all, was hoping you might be able to help me with something.

My company is trying to find a programmer for our ERP software and we need someone who speaks Korean, (because they have to be able to communicate with our team in Korea.) I put it on Seek (see below) but while I've had over 40 applicants, almost all of them either don't speak Korean or if they do have hardly any knowledge in software programming. I know it's a long shot but any Korean programmers out there? Or does anyone have a suggestion of where IT professionals go looking for jobs? I'm not a recruitment agent so I don't know if there's some specialised IT job site I don't know about. I've been approached by a few agencies but we don't really have the budget for their 15% fee. Am I looking for a needle in a haystack? Just trying to get some feedback really, do you think the ad adequately explains what we're looking for? Any advice!

Any help is much appreciated!

Possibly talk to local IT Training organisations (polytech, university, private training providers).  You might strike it lucky and find a Korean student doing second or 3rd year programming.

Yeah ok that's actually a really good idea. I'll look into that. Thanks!

I know a Canadian translator that translates video games from Korean to English who lives in Korea.  I can put you in touch if you want?

Since you've talked to 40 applicants in New Zealand, have you thought perhaps you should do the programming here instead of abroad?

Just saying
