Hi there,

I am currently working at a well known company supporting a well known client. As our client is moving offshore I am looking for work as my contract expires this Friday.

My experience in the I.T industry spans around 10 years. I started my time in an Incident Management role here in Wellington. Since then I have worked for many enterprise and government organisations - some very well known and some not so well known. This gives me a breadth of experience in Support and gives me an excellent level of experience in supporting users of all levels of technical experience.

I have a linkedin profile as well as customer testimonials from clients that I have supported - I run a small business on the side supporting residential customers and some small businesses:

"Fantastic service. Marcel did a great job of getting our laptop running again and it now runs like a dream! It was all set up and ready to go for us and he did a super job. He was able to explain the issues in terms we understood and followed up with us too. Definitely recommend, thank you for a great job."

"Excellent service, Marcel was quick to diagnose the issue and it was remedied promptly and for a really good price. I will definitely use Marcel's IT service again and recommend him to others. Thanks for all your help!"

"I was having problems with my Laptop and Marcel was recommended to me. In two days Marcel had done a fantastic job on cleaning it up and making it safe again. I gladly recommend him to others for all their IT hiccups.
Thank you Marcel."

If you wish to contact me so I can send you my CV and other details please email marcelceeitee@gmail.com

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,

Marcel

Have patience. You're in a relatively good job market, and it sounds like your skills are popular.

"Cold" ads, asking for a job, have never worked for me. I literally physically visited every potential employer in one city, leaving a CV, and didn't get a job, and had to find work elsewhere before I went broke.

What does work
* be willing to move to a new city
* be willing to take a short-term contract
* travel to various cities, like Auckland and Christchurch,
* make appointments with various recruitment firms
* dress like you're ready for work
* be upbeat

I know it's the "be willing to move" portion that must people won't do, but it's the best way to get a job quickly.
