I had a pwnage 2.0 iphone ist gen updated it to 2.01 and was working fine except i think i left edge off when i updated to 2.01
so i thought ok i will restore the phone using my pwnage ipsw file
it extracts in itunes and then errors and the phone is now screwed

what do i do?

help!!

ok so i downgraded to 2.0 using itunes and of course it is locked
so i though use the pwnage 2.0 image i used the first time but it too errors with error 006

it seems that the only thing that works is the genuine original 2.0 or 2.01 ipsw from apple they restore fine
so why the heck wont it pwnage to 2.0 anymore without the errors?

i have a bricked phone now and i need it!!

New pwnage out now, 2.0.2 out about 20 mins ago, you need to put your phone into recover mode.

Make a new custom firmware with Pwnage and get it to put it into dfu mode for you.

I had to restore to the original apple 2.0 firmware then pwnage the 2.01 for it to work

A couple of things I have noticed

Never turn Edge off before a firmware update through Bossprfs or it satys off till u can jailbreak a phone and turn it on with Bossprefs again

It is a good idea to download and keep all the apple firmware updates so you can revert as I have found that if I pwnage 2.01 over a pwnage 2.0 it gets error 6 and I have to revert back to apples 2.0 then pmnage to stop the 6 error

Like i said its very very hard to break a 2g phone, even if you do stuff things up you can 99.9% restore, unlike our 3g brothers and there funny baseband
