Hi Guys,
I have got an iphone recently from USA. I have recently upgraded to 2.0 realised it is a big it is a mistake and downgraded to 1.1.4. Now, my internet/GPRS is not working. Whenever I connect to safari it tells me "Safari can't open because it can't find server". I have read this "question" on this page
http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?ForumId=76&TopicId=24545
and
http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?ForumId=76&TopicId=20140
I tried use another sim card, but the internet/GPRS wasn't working on that too! On the above "question" it mentions that the problem might be caused because of using ZIPHONE. But i used ziphone 3.0. Let me know what to do? I am really lost.
Thanks,
Leet

There is no EDGE in NZ, only GPRS.

If you have Installer.app or Cydia, search for BossPrefs.  Install it and use it to enable EDGE (GPRS) data by turning it on.  If this still doesn't work try connecting to WiFi and going to www.unlockit.co.nz.  Follow the prompts to set up data for any SIM.  If it still doesn't work, call Vodafone and make sure data is enabled on your SIM.

Also if you can, try upgrading to 2.0.2 using PwnageTool or WinPwn (http://blog.iphone-dev.org), it's better than ZiPhone in that it uses different methods to unlock and jailbreak, instead of just software exploits like ZiPhone.  It's very easy to use.

Why was upgrading to 2.0 a big mistake for you?  Works well on my 1st gen 8GB iPhone...
