just a FYI - The new carrier update for the iPhone allows you to edit the APN settings LennonNZ - which most users would have installed if they have used iTunes with their iPhone plugged in in the last week

Ah

I see.. I won't tell the 1000 odd people who visting the website every day :-) (98% of them are not NZers)

But alas.. out of the 60,000 different people who have visited the website over the last 2 months.. I have made $200 NZ . Not enough yet to buy an iPhone :-)

Oh well.. lets start on another website and see if that does better ( http://www.bcast.co.nz ).

Thanks
Craig

Well when i go into network settings then VPN configurations, there are 3 tabs, L2TP, PPTP and IPSec, all of which requires a description, server and account, so what do i put in for each field?

I think you're getting VPN confused with APN.  In order to enable your iPhone to get data you don't need to touch the VPN settings at all.  Instead go to settings-general-network-cellular data network, and enter your APN there (I'm using www.vodafone.net.nz).  No username or password.

Hope this helps.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

You either need to get the new carrier settings (via iTunes) to get access to the APN settings or, use LennonNZ's website (posted above) to force the APN change on the phone
