Copy paste of my post from VF forums, just wondering if anyone here has had the same issue, or recommendations.

Hi there,

Bought a brand new iPhone 3G 16GB black on Saturday, took it home and immediately upgraded to 3.0 (previously upgraded 2 iPhones to 3.0). As soon as the firmware upgrade had finished, I tried to go into settings in order to enable Wi-Fi.

It was grayed out, after more looking I also noticed Bluetooth was grayed out. With the messages "No Wi-Fi" and Bluetooth "Unavailable".

Below I have attached screen shots that I have taken from the phone.

The problem I am experiencing is outlined in this Apple forum thread, although some posts are from people with a different issue, many of the posts in that thread have had their phones replaced.

Did you try restoring your phone?

I would try a restore to 3.0, if it works job done. If not then give Apple a call and see what they say. If it is already an issue that Apple are aware of and people have had their devices replaced then they will replace yours too.

Have tried restoring multiple times, as well as trying to downgrade to 2.2.1, nothing works.

Might give Apple a call, don't really want to be on hold for hours especially with all the 3GS problems i've been reading about :X

Edit: Rang Apple; told me to take it to VF with a case number to get it sent away to be checked :(
