Hi There,
Have been an iPod/iTunes/Windows user for some years now. I do wonder whether Windows users are treated by Apple as second class citizens...
Anyway, I have the latest version of iTunes (9.0.2?) and a 32GB iPod Touch with the latest firmware installed. The Touch was about 95% full (music, vids, apps, podcasts, audiobooks... a bit of everything), and everything was working...
However, it took an inordinately long time to sync... I'm talking at least 15mins, maybe 1/2 an hour. Not good, when in a hurry to grab the latest podcasts before heading off to work...
I thought I'd try and fix the problem by removing everything from the Touch & reinstalling it, so I unticked every option box ('music', 'podcasts' etc when you plug the iPod in). I was able to pretty much clear the iPod of everything.
Then I reinstalled all my music play lists and apps... took a while (2000+ songs, 150 or so apps), but no problem.
Then I attempted to reinstall the podcasts...
This is where the problem started - every time I try to install even one pod cast it tells me there is not enough space on the Touch. What it seems to be doing, is looking at the total size of all my podcasts (~96GB - I never delete anything I've listened to), and deciding that won't fit onto a 32GB iPod. Of course it won't! But I don't wan't all the podcasts... I just want the most recent ones I haven't listened to yet.
Is there some way of 'reseting' iTunes so that it returns to its previous correct behaviour?
Cheers,
Andrew T
