I notice it occassionally does this on the desktop too, but it's particularly bad on my 3rd gen iPod touch over wifi. Anyone have any ideas?

If it's on the desktop and on your iPod I would think it's related to your Internet connection - not to your device.

You should give us more information - our crystal ball is broken. Like what ISP and plan are you using?

If you're watching YT over wifi, you'll need to restart the application after a couple of videos. This is because the iPod touch's cache is probably full. If the same happens occasionally on your desktop, I suggest emptying your browser's cache often.

This is my theory anyway, however works for me.

@freit: I gather it's not my ISP Slingshot because it happens even when I use other peoples wifi too.

@Damager: sounds like a plan. cheers. How do I empty the cache though lol?

It does but it often did it when I was at tech as well (again like on my home desktop not as often as on iPod though)

I dont use any other browsers other than Firefox, if you have the latest version, go to "Tools" then "Clear Private History" uncheck everything except "cache". Restart.

Oops. Well restarting or rebooting the Ipod is pretty much going to clear the temporary video cache. Someone else may have another method perhaps that could assist here?
