I recently needed to repair an iphone after it was accidentally dropped. This cause of damage seems common. The phone needed both the touch screen (digitizer) and LCD screen replaced. Two known (non warranty) service providers in NZ, both offering fast service, are:
1. Fixxed Limited Email: support@fixxed.co.nz Phone: 08004349933 Postal address: Fixxed Ltd, PO Box 29616, Christchurch 8540, New Zealand
2. Aspa Mobile Phone Repair. Shop1, No 1, Hayr Road, Three Kings, Auckland 1042. email: aspamobile@gmail.com Tel: 64-9-625-2068 Mob: 64-21-113-8880
FAQ Will the repair void my warranty? Yes, all repairs not completed by the original manufacturer or approved service provider will void the warranty on the device.
Will any data on my device be lost? Usually no data will be lost. However you should backup all the data (and music) before you send it in.
Nice first post, lacking any relevant detail, just looks like advertising.....care to share which one of them fixed your phone and why you recommend the second place also?
I have moved across the ditch. Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.
I have no affiliation, or relationship with, either of the two repair organizations.
The question of who can repair iphones has been posted on many nz sites/boards and is one I faced finding the answer to when the iphone was dropped and damaged.
The post was intended to be helpful for those seeking repairs to their iphones that are not covered by warranty. I intentionally did not mention who I ended up using because I didn't want to plug anyone in particular nor did I wish to sound like it was advertising. Those in need can do their own research and make their own inquiries before deciding whom to use.
