Hi. I have just purchased this app and it works pretty well. I have a couple of problems though.
1 The speed warnings won’t work. I have ticked the “enable max speed warnings” & “enable warning sound” boxes in the advanced options but to no avail. It doesn’t display the speed limit in the upper RH corner either.

2. This seems to be a common one. It won’t recognize addresses from my address book. I have ensured that New Zealand is in the country field as described above but it still won’t work.

Any suggestions anybody. As I said, a good app but I find these two problems very frustrating.
Cheers.

Hi,

I have no problems for the speed warning but it does seem to be random at times.

The contact issue only seems to work for me if I have the postal code entered.

Generally I find the Tom Tom app more usuable & accurate then any of the others, unfortuantly for me it is not compatible with my Magellan Iphone Holder.

Welcome to the forums.

I have the same app, and both of the above work for me. Although not fluent in English, their support seems to be quite helpful.

You have BOTH apps?

I bought Sygic's because of the Australian and New Zealand maps were combined in one price, but am finding it a bit unpolished. And it's been almost 1 year and still it doesn't look like it's finished.

Been considering TomTom's offering as well.

Speed-wise (snappiness), how would you rate them on day-to-day use?

I tried deleting it from my phone and itunes and reloading it this morning but that didn't work. Is it possible that the speed limit isn't programmed into every road and I just haven't been on a road that has it yet? I live in christchurch and haven't tried it on the open road yet.
With regards to the address problem, most of the addresses in my contacts were added using google maps. This seems to enter the address in the wrong format. I tried entering an address manually using the first field for street number, the second for street name and so on with only one piece of information for each field. This seems to work.

I only notice the speed warning when I'm speeding (duh), so I can only say it works on SH1 in Auckland.

Yea. I've tried speeding in town and haven't got a warning. Will try it on open road.

Does your app display the speed limit in the upper RH corner all the time or only when you get a speed warning?

Only when I'm actually over it.

Ok, that helps thanks. I have also sent a message to sygic support so when I hear back I will post the results.
