I'm looking for some Auckland Orcon subscribers to kindly post their Ping stats from www.pingtest.net to:
- their default local server
- the default Sydney server
- and the default LA (USA West) server.

I'm trying to compare the backhaul and general network pathing between Spark and Orcon and Snap before making a decision on who to go with for Fibre.
(It was the only way I could think of doing a half reasonable comparison)

Any comments, or test results welcome.
Anyone know if Orcon posts their own stats of that nature somewhere?

Thanks :)

If you like to game between 6pm and 10pm any night, forget about it. Don't get me wrong, the download speeds are amazing.

I appreciate your feedback. Especially since I do like to game in the evenings. :)

Anyone else with Ping metrics?

Orcon ULL ADSL in Whangaparaoa

tbh if you are going for fibre I would wait for Bigpipe to release their plans and if you still need a phone sign up with 2talk or WXC and get a Linksys ATA like a PAP2T

Home ADSL:                                                             School:

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

I generally don't have issues at all in fact my VDSL2 line with Orcon has been getting stronger actually.

Seems to only be a Fibre issue. I connect at 100/50 with unlimited and have no problems outside of these times.
