As per the subject.

We have been patiently waiting for some time now instead of jumping ship and going with another provider (or Orcon/Callplus). it would be nice to at least have a rough time-frame.

It would be nice to recommend Slingshot to friends but at this stage they are all laughing at me and my antiquated ADSL.

Cheers.

Ditto.  There was fiber laid outside my place last December but when I look on the Spark website (last Thursday)  it still says not available but I can have ADSL2 or VDSL.  As my ADSL connection has a max speed of 10Mbits down
Just tried again now while doing this replay and the Spark website  said it was available so have ordered it.  Now lets see  if it goes ahead..  Pyes Pa area. smile

Hi both,
We are actually testing at the moment.
If you'd like to email socialmedia @ team.slingshot.co.nz we might be able to set you up on a trial.
Otherwise, a launch is not far away at all ...
Thanks, Quentin

Had the Transfield guy come yesterday to have a look at the house.  Should be installed  mid April.  They have 7 guys going full speed at present doing fiber installs in the Tauranga area..

Got finished today on the  10/30 plan.  Spark Speed test says 27Meg down and 8.2 up with 7ms  latency.  I applied for this from Spark on March 01.15 so just over 6 weeks..

Doing better than me then.

Haven't had a reply from Slinghot since I emailed them regarding the advice above on the 3rd March.

A little update would be nice. :(

Got UFB hooked up this morning, everything seems to have gone straightforward.  Getting 88 down and 23.9 up on speedtest.net through a wifi connection.

Only problem so far is that incoming calls are working but outbound aren't.  Can anybody confirm what Slingshots VOIP settings should be on the router?
