Does anyone know if its possible to send email from a Clear email address using Slingshot as your internet supplier.

My mother in law uses a Clear one currently on Spark/Xtra which has been OK until recently - after many issues a while back when you had to get an xtra email address and register the Clear email address. Its stopped working again and i'm taking the opportunity to look for a better deal for phone/internet which Slingshot appears to be ( $75 odd vs $95 for Voda or Spark )

Pretty sure there shouldn't be as I didn't think they allowed relaying. I would suggest getting a gmail.com or outlook.com address and avoiding ISP email addresses altogether.

I would not recommend using slingshot SMTP servers to relay email with an @clear.net.nz address they have an SPF (Send Policy Framework):

v=spf1 ip4:203.97.32.0/21 ~all

Even though the qualifier is ~all (softfail) it may cause issues some providers receiving email.

But someone correct me if I'm wrong if you have an @clear.net.nz address you should be able to use their SMTP servers however will require authentication to relay the email.
