Without knowing a lot more information it's really hard for anybody to comment.

Is porting simple? Yes and no. A lot of complex things go on behind the scenes that requires both the in and out provider to do things. For all we know it may not be a 2d issue and moving to another provider may result in the exact same frustrations.

as sbiddle said there are many complex things that go on with porting.. most of them are to stop porting from been done without permissions

a couple of things we need to know before anyone can comment

are you currently pre or post paid
if you are prepaid did they double check the sim number (I have seen some providers not include the first four digits)
if post paid is the account actually correct

if any of the details do not match the loosing service provider (slingshot) can refuse the port

Hi Brutus911NZ

Please PM us the details on this please so we can follow up with our Porting team. We need your 2degrees number, 4 digit PIN, the Slingshot number you're trying to port in and whether you were on Prepay or Pay Monthly. If you were on Prepay we need your Slingshot SIM number, if Pay Monthly the Slingshot account number.

Thanks
