I've finally decided i've had enough with my current ISP, especially the international download speeds which are near unacceptable.
I'm tossing up between orcon and slingshot now. I need about 20GB a month. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

You will the other ISPs including Orcon are having trouble with international download speeds. I am with Xnet, and they are having trouble with download speeds too. I just wish they would acknoledge it, and announce it on their website. Because of this, and the lack of communication,  I am also looking for another ISP. I have heard that Xtra/telecom speeds are good at the moment.
I have been with slinghot in the past, and they are terrible. They constantly had disconnections when I was with them , and they don't reply to emails. The only way to contact them is by phone, and they you can be on hold for over 1/2 hour. They then tell you that they will phone you back with a solution, and they never do. Terrible service.

Yeah I am with Xnet too. I really want to wait it out for things to come right, but I simply can't anymore. In the past I hadn't heard great things about Slingshot, but they're prices look nice. I made contact with orcon today and they said their international speeds should be good again. I would rather keep away from tcom/xtra to be honest.

Im with SS they are kind of nice, The do have the odd peek time issues, but that's like most NZ isps.

Slingshot is about to release some new plans, but they seem to be waiting on what the others will do before the set down in stone their new plans.
So I'm not holding my breath for something overnight.

I am with Orcon now and have been with Xtra in the past.  Orcon were vastly faster than Xtra when I switched about 2 years ago - however I only download about 2 gigs a month so maybe the good performance I get is relative to low demand.

Crash.
